Linux, Kali and Ubuntu are also favorite things to learn in very beginning. You can try all of them to find out which ones suits you. Use of alternative operating system is required to analyze vulnerability and to exploit them.
Guru or a good book
You can never learn anything without a teacher. You can learn new things and implement them but not find the required end result as a rookie. That’s where you need a mentor, a fatherly figure to guide you. You can try hacker societies and groups to find like minded people who are pursuing same goal as you. They can teach you many things and fine tune you as a hacker.
You can also learn through books written by great programmers. Read beginner level books in start. Never try to jump ahead and always remember it is one step at a time.

“Can I become a hacker without knowing how to program”. I faced this question every day. The answer is yes. You can become a hacker without programming. This is possible because there is already ready made stuff available online. Hacker develops lots of tools and programs for beginners to perform tasks which are impossible for beginners in past. But one must have to learn programming to be a pro hacker. You can start with PHP HTML And JAVA and can add more languages with time.

It requires lot of time effort, hard work and problem solving mind to overcome difficulties faced by hackers. I knew few passionate people who learned basics and programming in just few months and saw many who are going nowhere with their skill level in years.
So the only way to success in hacking world is through hard work and passion. Just try to learn new things daily, implement them do mistakes and within a year you would successfully learn many things.
